Terms of Service

The Standing List ("we," "us," "our") provides custom travel itinerary planning, local introduction services, and travel booking for select cities, currently including Ibiza, Bangkok, Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro, Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Las Vegas, and cities across Canada.

We provide planning, recommendations, introductions to third-party venues and vendors, and travel booking services including flights, accommodations, and transportation where offered as part of a specific service package. We are not an insurance provider.

Our services, and much of the content on this site, relate to nightlife, alcohol service, and venues with age restrictions. By using our services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction, and any higher age requirement set by a specific venue or activity, e.g. 21+ in the United States).

Full or partial payment (as specified at checkout) is required before work begins on a paid itinerary. Payments are processed through Stripe, a third-party payment processor; we do not store your full payment card details on our own systems at any point.

Stripe is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1, the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry, and maintains SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certifications as well. This means Stripe undergoes independent, recurring security audits and encrypts payment data both in transit and at rest. Because payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe rather than by us directly, your card details are never transmitted to or stored on our servers.

Once itinerary work has begun, fees are non-refundable. Cancellations made before work begins may be eligible for a partial refund, less any processing fees, at our discretion. For travel bookings, cancellation and refund eligibility is governed by the policies of the relevant third-party suppliers; any supplier-imposed fees or penalties are the client's responsibility.

We work to secure reservations, introductions, and access through our relationships with venues, hosts, and local contacts. However:

Itineraries, recommendations, and materials we provide are for your personal, non-commercial use only. They may not be resold, redistributed, or republished (including on social media as your own original content) without our written permission.

All content on this site — including but not limited to text, city guides, graphics, and branding — is owned by The Standing List and may not be copied or reproduced without permission.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Standing List is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services or reliance on our recommendations, including but not limited to travel delays, flight cancellations, accommodation issues, venue closures, personal injury, or financial loss related to third-party bookings.

Our total liability for any claim relating to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific service in question.

Travel, nightlife, and recreational activities recommended or arranged through our services carry inherent risks. You participate in any recommended activity, venue, or experience at your own risk.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

The laws of British Columbia, Canada, given our primary place of business, subject to review given our international client base.
